Stepping Stone Pre & Grade school is a year-round program with open registration from September to August.
Registration of a student will be finalized when the following have been received:
Stepping Stone Application Package - Available at Stepping Stone
Parent and student interview
Complete medical form
Copy of latest report card (K & up)
Registration for Current Students
A student’s status will be revised yearly and re-enrollment will be based on the student’s academic progress and disciplinary record.
Re-registration of a student is finalized when the following have been received:
Pre-K for All Registration
Pre-K registration must be completed online through the Department of Education. If you do not have the ability to complete the application online, you can apply over the phone by calling the Department of Education at (718) 935-2067 Monday through Friday - from 8am to 6pm.
Online Registration: Log on to https://www.schools.nyc.gov/enrollment/enroll-grade-by-grade/pre-k to begin the registration process by creating an online account. Once your account has been created, follow the prompts to begin filling out the online application. You will need to enter the school name and the school code as your FIRST CHOICE while you are registering.

Confirmation Receipt: It is extremely important that you receive a confirmation receipt when you have completed the registration process. If you do not receive a receipt, you application may not have been submitted correctly. Please make sure that you use a valid working email address when registering.
Returning Students or Siblings of a student: Returning students moving up from our Nursery program, please be sure to claim "Current Student" priority on your application. Also, if you have more than one child attending Stepping Stone Pre & Grade School, you can also claim "Sibling" priority on your application. DO NOT fill out a separate application for the sibling; choose "Add Another Child" to the current application.
Offer Letter: You will receive an offer letter from the Department of Education in the Spring. At this time, you will pre-register and provide all the requested documents directly to the school. If you registered online, you will receive an offer letter via email and mail. If you registered over the phone, you will receive an offer letter via the mail.
